The Dream One is an espresso machine designed by Marc Aranyó for Barcelona-based Ascaso. The espresso machine has been updated since its predecessor "Dream" with new features and technological updates.

The new energy-saving mode activates automatically when inactive, and it takes a couple of minutes to start the machine when the mode is on. The machine exits this mode when you flip the switch for espresso brewing. It should just be started and then immediately turned off, then the machine will start to heat up.

The portafilter is now very robust and made of good material. 6 different 60 mm filter baskets are included. These include baskets for both single and double espresso, all of which fit into the included double handle. This means you can also brew a single espresso in a double handle. A single handle can be purchased separately if preferred.

The espresso machine heats the water in a stainless steel water pipe that passes through an aluminum thermoblock. The stainless steel pipe prevents limescale buildup. We always recommend using a descaling filter in the water tank to prevent limescale buildup and thus counteract limescale-related service issues. The coffee also tastes significantly better if the limescale is filtered out.

The Dream One has a new heat-resistant stainless steel steam wand. Continuous steam can be drawn from it without losing pressure. When frothing milk immediately after brewing espresso, you must wait for the pressure to build up. This takes approximately 60-90s. Do this by turning on the steam function but do not turn the knob. When it starts ticking, it is ready to use. Then turn the knob and start frothing.

The pump on the Dream One can be regulated underneath the machine. It is well adjusted out of the box, but if you want to experiment to find the ultimate setting, you now have the opportunity to do so.

A back-pressure relief outlet is now located on the outside of the Dream One. This tube, found on the left side of the espresso machine's front, is designed to relieve pressure.

An aluminum tamper, 6 different filters (3 for single, 3 for double), and a measuring spoon are included with the Ascaso Dream One. We recommend complementing it with a matching Ascaso i-mini grinder for the best coffee experience.
