Macap M7K coffee grinder - chrome
Macap M7K coffee grinder - chrome
The M7K is Macap’s largest chrome coffee grinder with conical burrs. The grinder operates at a very low speed, resulting in low noise levels and low temperatures even during heavy use. The automatic dosing unit keeps the M7K filled with ground coffee, so there is never any waiting time for the correct dose. The M7K features precise, stepless grind adjustment.
The M7K has a large bean hopper with a capacity of 1,400 g of espresso beans, meaning you can grind enough coffee for approximately 120 espressos per full hopper. The coffee grinder’s sleek, classic design ensures that the M7K looks excellent alongside an espresso machine for commercial use, as the styling and design match and complement each other.
The bean inlet on the M7K is adjusted with a flat plate that can easily be pulled away from or pushed toward the grinder. If you want to remove the bean hopper from the M7K while there are still espresso beans inside, press the flat plate in so that it covers the entire opening, then twist the bean hopper upward. This is particularly useful when you want to clean the grinder or suspect that a problem has occurred in the grinding mechanism. To clean the M7K, remove the bean hopper and pour a dose of Pulygrind into the grinding mechanism. Then replace the bean hopper. Grind the Pulygrind crystals along with the coffee until no more crystals come out of the grinding mechanism; a few doses are usually required.
The coffee grinder’s grind setting can be adjusted using a rotating wheel and a locking pin on the left side. If desired, press down the locking pin so that it springs back. Turn the wheel clockwise for a coarser grind or counterclockwise for a finer grind. If the M7K coffee grinder is reasonably well adjusted, usually only 1–2 turns of the wheel are needed. To check whether the coffee grinder is correctly adjusted, grind coffee for an espresso and then brew it. Continue adjusting until the espresso brews at the correct speed and takes the right amount of time.
