The MXD is an on-demand coffee grinder from Macap with a digital timer for perfectly dosing freshly ground coffee every time. The MXD has two grinding time settings, single/double, which can be adjusted with high precision using the steplessly adjustable grind setting. The times can be easily reprogrammed. The MXD is the latest model in Macap's range of on-demand coffee grinders. It is equipped with steel burrs.

The MXD has a large bean hopper with a capacity of 1400 g of espresso beans, meaning you can grind coffee for approximately 120 espressos per full coffee grinder. The coffee grinder's stylish and classic design makes the MXD look very good alongside a professional espresso machine, as the shape and design match and complement each other.

The bean inlet on the MXD is adjusted with a flat plate that can easily be pulled away from or pushed against the grinder. If you want to remove the bean hopper from the MXD while there are still espresso beans inside, you can push the flat plate in so that it covers the entire opening and then twist the bean hopper upwards. This is particularly useful if you want to clean the grinder or suspect that a problem has occurred in the grinding mechanism. To clean the MXD, remove the bean hopper and pour a dose of Pulygrind into the grinding mechanism. Then replace the bean hopper. Grind the Pulygrind crystals together with coffee until no crystals come out of the grinding mechanism; a couple of doses is usually required.

The coffee grinder's grind setting can be adjusted steplessly using a knob. If you wish to make an adjustment, turn the knob a little at a time. If the MXD coffee grinder is reasonably well set, usually only a small adjustment is needed. To check when the coffee grinder is correctly set, you can grind coffee for an espresso and then brew it. Keep trying until the espresso is brewed at the right pace in the right time.

The difference between the Macap MXD and the Macap MXD Extreme is the burrs. The MXD has steel burrs, while the MXD Extreme has titanium-coated burrs. This difference affects the grinding time. The MXD grinds a double dose in 6 seconds, while the MXD Extreme grinds in 4 seconds. The titanium burrs also have a longer lifespan.

What primarily distinguishes Macap's coffee grinders is their production capacity. The M4D is suitable for a smaller restaurant or a small café. The MXD is ideal for a standard café. The M7D is the grinder that can handle all the demands of a busy café.
