Ascaso is a Spanish company from Barcelona that was founded in 1962 by Jesús Ascaso. Initially, only spare parts for espresso machines were manufactured and sold, but after quite a lot of expansion, they now manufacture espresso machines, coffee grinders, and spare parts as well as other accessories that a coffee drinker needs in their 10,000m² factory on the outskirts of Barcelona. 85 employees handcraft the entire Ascaso range with the greatest precision. Monteriva is the general agent for Ascaso Factory in Sweden.
About Ascaso espresso machines
That Ascaso espresso machines look like unique pieces of craftsmanship is a given when walking between the small, perfectly aligned corridors of the factory. Black shirts with a charming print portraying a silhouette of their world-renowned Dream espresso machine appear on the employees working in the aisles. The heat from the Spanish climate is pervasive, and fans are placed by every employee alongside a cluster of water bottles. Concentration, however, is the only thing visible in their eyes. Every detail must be exactly right, and everything must be treated with the utmost care. Part of Ascaso's philosophy is that everything should be done with love, and with love, everything truly is done.
Ascaso likes to upgrade a little at a time and is constantly developing new, improved parts that are placed into the machines. In the process of a new component, it is thoroughly tested to ensure that it functions correctly. Ascaso espresso machines are assembled by hand with precision where the new upgraded part is included, and when everything appears to be finished, the machine undergoes a series of different tests. Inside their "Top Secret" testing room, jokingly, only authorized personnel and Wikileaks are welcomed. The machine is tested again and again to ensure that everything is right and that the new component contributes an improvement. A genuinely reliable machine that lasts a long time is Ascaso's endeavor.
Service and repair
Monteriva is the general agent for Ascaso coffee machines. We perform service and repairs on all coffee machines from Ascaso. Semi-professional espresso machines are normally dropped off at our shop for service and repair. In Stockholm, no prior notification is required; just stop by with the machine and we will normally fix it within 5 working days. We usually repair large espresso machines at the customer's location; please contact our customer service for booking.
Warranty
Monteriva handles warranty claims for all coffee machines sold directly by us or through any of our retailers. Coffee machines are to be dropped off with us for warranty service.
